We are involved with the Miraa international trade when the umbrella body of Miraa farmers dealers, traders and transporters in Kenya called Nyambene Miraa Trade Association (NYAMITA) mandated us to design approaches that were to get Miraa accepted world wide as a consumable social product, produced in Kenya on the slopes of the Nyambene Hills of Eastern Province and get the immense wealth realized from Miraa Trade to trickle down to the farmers in a more equitable proportion.

Legality of Miraa
Miraa is recognized as a crop in Kenya under the Agricultural Act Cap 318 Laws of Kenya which lists Miraa specifically under Horticultural Crops “special crops” subsection “others”. It is also legal in many other countries like Ethiopia, Uganda, Somali, Djibouti, and Yemen.
